Alex Fraser - Asphalt

Asphalt Paving and Production

Alex Fraser provides high-quality asphalt products and paving services throughout metropolitan Melbourne. Our products been proven in the field. Our professional paving crews operate the latest equipment and are renowned for completing projects on time and to a high standard.

Asphalt mix types

Our asphalt plants have a large range of current VicRoads ‘General’ status registered mixes meeting the sections 407 ‘Hot Mix Asphalt’ and 409 ‘Warm Mix Asphalt’. Warm Mix uses water to create a foam effect, which provides a better coating of the aggregate, is more workable, and can be delivered a long way from our plants.

Hot storage

Our state-of-the-art facilities feature a total of eight storage bins and have a storage capacity of 1,000 tonnes, four storage bins also have long-term storage capability which enables us to store asphalt for up to four days. This creates less waste and results in faster loading times and deliveries.

Profiling

Our profiling equipment features modern technologies, such as vacuum ducts and water mist sprays to minimise dust. Our fleet includes Bobcats, Bobcat mills, Suction Sweeper and Trucks. Our high-quality profiling material is processed at our recycling facilities and is added to our hot mix asphalt at our asphalt facilities.

The sustainable option

Our facilities are capable of high Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) recycling and have VicRoads registrations for the inclusion of recycled glass in various mixes, that can contain up to 40% recycled material, making them your best choice in quality tested sustainable road surfaces that meet road specifications. Further to this, our production facilities are equipped with foaming units, which enable us to produce warm mix asphalt, and feature a range of environmental controls, which ranks our facilities among the greenest in the industry.

Mix Type Application
