| Alex Fraser was established in 1879 as a dealer in metals. For much of the last century, the Company has dedicated its attention to the salvage, reuse and recycling of a broad range of materials and in the past 20 years, has undergone its greatest period of corporate growth.
In the 1950’s, the Company moved into the demolition business -principally of large industrial complexes and other general structures and this brought about the further expansion into the recycling of construction and demolition material – concrete, bricks, masonry and rubble. This material was previously dumped into landfill. Today, the Alex Fraser Group is Australia’s leading construction and demolition materials recycler with six major recycling centres in Victoria and Queensland. This Division manufactures a comprehensive range of recycled construction products including specification road bases and civil construction materials. |

The Alex Fraser Group comprises seven divisions –C&D Materials Recycling, Demolition, Asphalt, RecycleBin™ services, Steel & Salvage Sales, Mobile Crushing and Special Projects. The Alex Fraser Group is now internationally recognised for its technical expertise and as a pioneer in recycling. The Company currently has the capacity to produce in excess of 2 million tonnes of recycled product every year. The Group maintains an active research and development program, that develops new directions in C&D Materials recycling technology, recycled products, waste minimisation and sustainability. |
