| Alex Fraser Asphalt is a company with the long-term future and the environment, very much in mind. As well as producing a range of VicRoads specification products, the Company strongly promotes the development of innovative new products having recently completed an extensive R&D project that recognises the technical and environmental benefits, of high recycled asphalt contents in standard and pavement mixes. This R&D program was recognised by EcoRecycle Victoria and has assisted in changes of specification requirements by Victoria’s State Road Authority. It is also recognised by many local government agencies, as a vehicle to achieve recycling volume targets set by government.

Enviropatch –A special cold formulated recycled patching material that is manufactured completely free of oil cutting products, is environmentally safe, will not bleed through spray seal applications and is almost immediately stable, unlike most cold patching materials used in maintenance tasks. Enviromix – A low cost, cold recycled asphalt, replacing the traditional use of hot asphalt in shape correction or base course, hot asphalt applications. Enviromastic – A very high recycled content hot mastic asphalt, utilising recycled asphalt and other recycled construction materials. Designed to AusRoads requirements for hot mastic asphalt, this product is specifically designed as a thin, smooth and dense residential road surfacing pavement material, with extended life characteristics. Alex Fraser Asphalt is currently undertaking new R&D projects including the development of a special, heavy duty, pavement hot asphalt, utilising 85% recycled construction materials. |
