New Excavator for Archerfield

Date: 30-Aug-2017

This month, Archerfield took delivery of its new Hitachi excavator. Along with the recently delivered WA500-7 the new ZX360LCH-5 machine has the potential to further improve fuel efficiency and plant reliability for the site, not to mention operator comfort.

Site supervisor Grayham Howland said the new excavator was a welcome addition to the Archerfield fleet.

“We can’t run the show without a quality excavator. This is a great machine that comes with easy maintenance, good fuel economy and service support. We’ve noticed a huge improvement with the new Hitachi – everything’s just easier.”

Group Manager Fixed Plant & Mobile Equipment Dean Walsh said while Alex Fraser has had Hitachi machines in Melbourne for many years, this is a first for Queensland.

“It is a pleasure delivering new equipment to the Archerfield site – the level of care and ownership is outstanding. Grayham and his team at Archerfield are well known for maintaining excellent standards across their fleet and their site,” said Dean.

Another two latest release model ZX490 Hitachi excavators are due to be delivered to Laverton and Clayton in September.
