Level Crossing Removal Authority Applauded.

Date: 21-Oct-2017

Hosted by ISCA (the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia), the annual Infrastructure Sustainability Awards recognise the people and organisations who have found better, smarter and greener ways to build our cities.

We were pleased to see the Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA) receive the organisational leadership award and be recognised for their outstanding performance, leadership and contribution to advancing infrastructure sustainability in Australia.

We've proudly supplied some of their projects with quality, recycled materials, such as the Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Removal Project which aims to remove nine level crossings and rebuild five railway stations.

Victorian Recycling Group Manager Sean McCormick said: “This is an example of the increasing focus on sustainable outcomes on government infrastructure works. It’s great to be supplying recycled products that align with the customer and the community’s sustainability objectives”

Alex Fraser is supplying 50,000 tonnes of Class 4, Class 3 and Class 2 recycled concrete.

The use of Alex Fraser materials on this project has:

·         REDUCED landfill by 50,000 tonnes

·         REDUCED carbon emissions by 326 tonnes

·         REDUCED traffic by 148 truck movements

·         PRESERVED natural resources by 54,000 tonnes.
