COVID-19 Safety Measures Underway

At Alex Fraser we are continuously monitoring developments associated with COVID-19 and adapting the way we work to help reduce the risk to you, our employees and our wider community.
If you or your drivers visit our sites you will notice some changes as we escalate our hygiene and social distancing measures.

COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES
 
At Alex Fraser we are continuously monitoring developments associated with COVID-19 and adapting the way we work to help reduce the risk to you, our employees and our wider community.
 
If you or your drivers visit our sites you will notice some changes as we escalate our hygiene and social distancing measures.
 
This is what you should expect when you visit us:
 
  • All loans of PPE (hardhats, hi-vis vest/shirt), flashing beacons and UHF radios will cease on Friday March 20.
  • As of Saturday March 21, all drivers arriving to Alex Fraser sites must have their own (80 channel) UHF radio and PPE. Any drivers without this equipment will be refused access.
  • We will restrict all physical contact at the weighbridge.
    To reduce handling, our operators will reach verbal agreement with your driver before printing his/her name on your docket and passing it through the window.
  • If you are unwell, or experiencing any flu-like symptoms please refrain from visiting any Alex Fraser site.

When we visit you:

  • We will greet you with a smile, and maintain a 1.5 metre separation.
  • To reduce docket handling, after reaching a verbal agreement with your receiving representative, our drivers will write your rep’s name on the delivery docket before passing it over. Where applicable, our drivers will also record the agreed waiting time on the docket.

We’re making changes in our customer service centre too. Our phone and data technology is well prepared but please be patient with us should you experience any unusual delays during this time.

Further risk reducing measures may be implemented with short notice and we will make every effort to communicate them with you quickly, via email and onsite signage.

We remain very focussed on servicing your projects in safe and timely way.
